Guitar Scale Mastery - An Honest Review
Let's find out just what Guitar Scale Mastery is all about and see if it is right for you. One thing that many guitarists continually struggle with, year after year it seems, are scales and how to utilize them in a musical fashion.
Imagine for a second how your ability to solo on the guitar could drastically improve if you were able to somehow unlock the fretboard, and learn to play guitar scales anywhere on the neck in a seemingly effortless way, as well as being able to express musically, exactly what you are feeling inside.
That is the goal of every guitarist that truly wants to "learn" to play the guitar, as opposed to simply memorizing songs that others have written. These are the guitarists that desire to use the guitar as a means of expressing themselves, whatever that ultimate goal may be. Whether it be improvising on-stage to a backing chord progression, recording an album to be proud of, or to simply take the leap from "average" guitarist to "great" guitarist.
Scales are the driving force behind every melody, and you will never be able to achieve the ability you desire as a guitarist until you become familiar with the scales.
This is one of the principal reasons I support methods that can really help you to master the scales. I have built this site around providing quality lessons for beginner guitarists, and scales are one of the most, if not the most important aspect to becoming fluid in your musical abilities.

Overview
Guitar Scale Mastery is designed for the guitarist who desires a complete and in-depth understanding of scales and how to use them when soloing.
It is a members only site where you can download various lessons and audio tracks from, as well as some other bonus material. The goal is to deliver powerful learning techniques to teach guitar scales in a detailed way. Ultimately these scales should become almost second nature, so they can be called upon at the drop of a hat as one is soloing.
Two things that need be mentioned at this point, is that the course is not intended for the absolute beginner guitarist, and it assumes a couple things. First, you should have a general knowledge of the notes of the fretboard, and be at least semi-proficient in using down-up strokes. In fact, it could be very likely that the intermediate guitarist may be the best candidate here.
You also will need to be able to read tablature or (tab). If you don't know how, it is quite easy and there are quite a few resources online to find out what it is all about.

Craig Bassett is the instructor, and music has been a large part of his life, and he has been playing the guitar for well over sixteen years. In addition, he holds a Bachelor of Music (Performance) from Massey University in Wellington, as well as being a top-notch guitar teacher that has a knack for delivering in-depth information to people in a way that can easily be understood.

One very important and crucial aspect of this course is built around the five essential mastery skills, which help to lead to complete scale mastery. Many "methods" that claim to teach scales, give a bunch of scale fingerings or even some cool licks and backing tracks.
Then, they simply leave you to work it out yourself. I can almost guarantee many of you have at least a couple of books like that. This will not work for the majority of people. Many new guitarists will need a bunch of extra help.
