People who have purchased the Roland CUBEST CUBE Street Battery Powered Stereo Black Amplifier are generally very happy with their decision. This isn't surprising as Roland is a very well respected brand when it comes to this sort of amplification.
Reviewers have commented that this little amp is deceptively loud for the power it's rated at. One reviewer said that he is a street performer and he has no problems keeping up with loud crowds walking by when using the Roland.
Nearly every review we could find on this amp was positive however we did find one negative review that is worth mentioning. It should be noted that there are no batteries included with this amp! When researching the product, this wasn't a huge surprise to us and a set of batteries is a pretty minor cost.
However, for one reviewer this was enough to return the entire amp and bash the Roland corporation as well as the music store he bought it from! This seemed a little extreme to us but we thought we should point out that batteries aren't included!
Aside from this people have mentioned that the amp sounds absolutely awesome for the size. One reviewer did mention that the sound was a little shallow with his guitar but that is to be expected considering the size of the speakers and wattage. If you're looking for the sound of a Marshall stack, then you should buy a Marshall stack!
While this amp is certainly geared towards street performers there are a ton of uses that reviewers have mentioned. It's great for house parties if you need a little boost for your guitar/vocals, perfect for small functions as a PA system or even as a backup for your main amp at band practice etc…
Based on all of the excellent reviews and the solid reputation that Roland has, the Roland CUBEST CUBE Street Battery Powered Stereo Black Amplifier is a portable amplifier that we would highly recommend. Just keep in mind that you will have to spend an extra $10 on batteries should you wish to use it without a power source!
